Founded in 1977, Pattison Estate Agents operate 27 offices across the North East, with over 200 members of staff. The leadership team was keen to extend its digital ambitions and provide a new white-label software service to partners, for the management of online auctions. This would expand the company’s reputation in the sector and create a new high-margin revenue stream.
How we helped
We began by mapping the core processes involved in managing online property auctions. From here, we identified which parts could be automated to deliver optimal experiences for buyers and agencies, delivering a series of UX workshops to refine our design.
Our final solution was delivered within 12 months, and enabled Pattinson’s to provide a market-leading software service:
Fully functioning and customisable “online auction” product that seamlessly integrated with the estate agent’s own website via a brandable subdomain.
Automated customer sign-up and bidder verification enabled a smooth customer experience and offered a vast reduction in admin costs.
Powered by Thought’s own opensource multi-site CMS to keep maintenance costs low and to maximise returns for Pattinsons and their partners.
Single CMS across all sub-domained auction sites means adding features is simple and cost-effective, creating high levels of customer satisfaction and options to up-sell.
